Things that have been happening lately:
Dressing up in our cowboy gear
Hanging out with Dad
Sleeping lots. Emmett has been sleeping in until 9am, taking a 3+ hour nap, and going to bed around 8pm. I LOVE IT!
Visiting Grandpa and Grandma
Mom got a new church dress.
So basically not much has been going on in the Albrecht home. Thank goodness for the 3 day Memorial Weekend. I hope to go put flowers on my Dad's and Joey's grave tomorrow. Sure miss those two.
Ohhh and last night I had a dream my work gave me a $100,000 bonus. I was pretty disappointed this morning when it didn't come true. Lol. Like that would ever happen :)

Turtle & Caring Husband
I had to wake Emmett up this morning so I could go to work. I hate waking a sleeping baby, it just doesn't seem right. So I let him sleep as late as I possibly could and made myself 30 minutes late to work. Good mom, bad employee. I also took the time to read his favorite book to him. Out of no where he points to a turtle and says "turtle". This kid is brilliant!!! I usually point to the easier animals and he tells me what sound the animal makes or the name of the animal. I've only showed him the turtle a few times, but I guess it stuck with him. It was a great start to my day. (I'm so easily assumed by Emmett).
Also Bret called me the other day and we were just chatting about nothing and our conversation was runnning dry and then he said," So...hows your hair? How are your fat days?" I laughed pretty hard. I guess I haven't been complaining about bad hair days or fat days as much as I usually do. Don't worry I still have them :) Bret, Thanks for caring! You're a great husband.

Thank you
Emmett has been really sick the past few days. We've been lucky because he hasn't been too sick his first year. He woke up at 5:00am with his eyes glued shut from all the drainage, and so I put a warm wash cloth on his eyes and gave him a bottle. After he drank his bottle he threw it up all over me. My motherly instincts kicked in and I just held him close as he threw up over and over. My children will probably be the only people who can throw up on me without myself getting sick. It's been an awful day and I'm starting to not feel so well myself. Anyways my favorite part of the day was when Bret and I were cleaning up Emmett and changing sheets, Emmett kept saying, "thank you" over and over. He is so polite. He says "please" when he wants something and anytime you give him something he says "thank you". Sometimes he even says "thank you" when he gives you something. I just thought it was so neat that he was thanking me when I hadn't given him a tangible object. What a great baby. He makes me so happy!
I also took him to his 15 month check up and he weighs 22lbs (16%) and 32 inches tall (78%) Tall and skinny. Also Dr. Taylor said most 15 month old babies say about 4 words and including his sign language he says 32!!! Makes a mom proud :)

Joey
Ohhh how I miss this kid. I think about him every single day and wish he was still here. I can't tell you how many times I've picked up the phone to call him, and how sad it makes me that I can't. Joey is the greatest friend anybody could ask for, and how lucky was I to have him as my best friend. Everybody considered themselves Joey's best friend, and that's because he made everybody feel important and loved. I wish I had that natural ability and desire to serve others like Joey did. I feel like I have to work and look for service opportunites. Wish we had more "Joeys" in this world. I also wish Bret could have seen Joey in his greatest light. I feel like I had a completely different life with Joey. Both are great lives, just different...just wish they could have been combined.
Things I miss the most:
*Having Joey to keep me up on the latest trends and styles
*Laughing so hard it hurt (nearly a daily occurance with Joey)
*Having a constant friend with the same hobbies and interests as me
*Driving in the HPV (high performance vehicle...also known as the blue civic)
*McGraths Fish House
*Provo Towne Centre Gap
*Living together, working together, and spending free time together. You'd think we'd be sick of each other
*Joey's upbeat, out going, possitive personality
*Running together
*My best shopping buddy!
...the list goes on...
I have so many pictures of him but none are digital. I had a friend from work help me get this one on the computer and I want to add a few more later. Check back later for more photos.
P.S. My mom is doing much better. She's home from the hospital but still very weak. Those illnesses wiped her out. Poor Jude!
