Emmett's New Bed

We got Emmett a new bed and moved him out of his crib. I didn't want to move him out since he hasn't tried to climb out of the crib, but we have to put the new baby somewhere! He's been in his new bed two nights now and hasn't come out once. I'm starting to wonder if he realizes that he can. I made him a new comforter and that has helped the transition. He loves the elephants and hippos on the fabric.
We made one last trip to Minersville a few weekends ago before the baby comes. We actually thought it was our last trip until Bret's dad called us and said he was the new bishop in Minersville, so we went back down the following weekend to see him get set apart. He'll be a great bishop.

We went to St George also and hung out with Amy & Nanette. We went to the Washington Rec center to swim, watched the BYU basketball game, did some shopping, etc... It was fun! P.S. BYU made it to the sweet 16...which is great. Jimmer Fredette is beyond awesome!

This picture is for Jill. She really wanted a picture of Bret driving a UTA bus. Cute huh?

Last item of business: I decided to make a boy quilt too and I'll save whichever quilt I end up not using for another baby or give it to one of my sisters. I seriously love to sew. I just finished a few more projects which I'll post later and now I have nothing pending. Makes me sad but I won't have time to sew when the baby comes. Also my scheduled c-section is April 26th at 3:30pm. We called UVRMC one month in advance and the earliest they could get me in was 3:30pm. That hospital is way too busy. Meaning I have to fast all day :( I don't mind fasting but my nausea has returned a little and eating helps.

Costco

I went to Costco yesterday after work to pick up a few items, but mostly to get some strawberries. I've been craving them like crazy lately. I walked back to get them and there weren't any. I asked a worker if they had any and he said yes but they won't be out until later that afternoon. (it was already 4:00pm...that is afternoon) I walked away pretty disappointed and upset about it but finsihed my shopping and left. Once I got in my car I started crying and I'm positive it was over the strawberries. My mind was telling me how stupid it was to cry over strawberries but I couldn't help it. (I seriously need to have this baby sooner then later!!!) After about 20 minutes I pulled myself together and I've felt fine since. I remember feeling a little emotional after Emmett was born but not before I gave birth.

Baby Blanket, 33 weeks

This is what I see when I'm sewing. It scares me having him that close cause I have to constantly remind him to not touch, but its really cute. He always comes up and says, "ohhhh wowww".
Here is the neutral baby blanket that turned out completely girly. I love it and its the first quilt I had professionally quilted. I want to learn how to hand quilt one day. Bret's grandma was really good at hand quilting, and made blankets for all of her grandkids. The one Bret received looked like it was done by a machine...its perfect. She was excellent!! We always talked about going down to Fredona to have her show me how she does it or just watch her, and now we regret not going. She passed away a few years ago. My mom can hand quilt and she does good too. Anyways if this baby is a boy then I'll just hold onto this quilt until my girl comes. I'm sure she'll come one day...right???

Little peak at the back.

33 weeks

Random pic of Emmett and Max. Max is a chunky kid. I could just squeeze his chubby bum all day. They are going to be the best of friends, Emily and I will make them be!!!
Pic of my man! He's such a great guy and works really hard. He's been working for UTA for about 5 months now and really likes it. He started working as a service employee and now is a TVT (transit vehicle technician). Emmett loves to be with Bret. They feed the horses together, work outside or in the garage together, wrestle, play farm, etc... all the boy stuff. I'm grateful Bret does those things because I don't think to very often. I spend more time cuddling Emmett, reading books, going for walks, coloring, etc... It's so important for kids to have a dad and a mom!

Emmett 2 Year Pics

Emmett had his two year pictures taken this week. Cortney Boice took them for me. www.cortneyboicephotography.blogspot.com. He's awesome! These pictures made me realize I don't have a baby anymore. He's so grown up.

Gender Surprise

Which outfit will I bring my baby home in???
I love them both but the pink totally stands out. I really feel like it's a girl but I will NOT be disappointed if it's a boy. In a lot of ways I want a boy just as much as a girl. This gender surprise really has me excited for the baby to come. Sure... not knowing makes me unprepared but the excitement is really fun. If it's a girl then my sisters/mom are going to help me get a few things to get me by the first month or so and then I can go buy her some things. If not then I have plenty of stuff from Emmett and Max. (emily and I combined our baby clothes and we're just going to pass tubs of clothes back and forth).
I'm 31 weeks and feeling very large. I've gained 20lbs so far and I look bigger then I did last time. I thought I was done running but my cold is getting better and I ran today and felt great. It doesn't matter if I ran a 12 minute mile..I still ran~! I also am starting to feel a little nauseated again which I've read happens to some women. It's nothing like in the beginning so I'm sure I'll survive and not complain about it too much. We have a few girl names picked out but we are struggling to decide on a boy name. I love the name Samuel but I imagine my last baby being a boy and me naming him Samuel, so that name will have to wait. Hope we come up with something we love soon. Finding a name can be so stressful.
