This is the swimming suit I ordered today. Pretty dang cute, but I've got a lot of work to do in order to wear it.

P.S. This is Bret's #1 girl(looks only). I'm #3 but when you add in my personality....he says I'm far above them all :) I've got more to offer then just a hot body!

Mom & Baby.

I went shopping!!! It was SOOOO much fun!

Adah has been a good baby so far, but she is starting to get fussy in the evening. It's hard having Bret works night because I don't get a break, and a fussy baby can be tiring. My mom has helped me a lot and I'm thankful for her. I'm scared to be alone with 2 kids, and I know that sounds silly but it's the truth. Years later I'll look back and say how easy it was with 2 kids :) I sure love having her in our home though. She is just so cute and I stare at her all day! Emmett is doing great with her too. He loves to hold and kiss her, but doesn't enjoy me holding her all the time.
Recovery has been really slow but I'm starting to feel a lot better. I got an infection on my incision and that kind of set me back a little. I'm dying to start exercising and get the rest of my weight off. 9 more lbs to go!

Adah Marie Albrecht

Adah Marie Albrecht

6lbs 8oz
18 inches tall
She was born at 5:22pm, has dark hair and is very healthy. What an eventful day. I got up and worked from home for a few hours to pass the time and then we got ready to leave. Our c-section wasn't scheduled until 3:30 that afternoon but we had to be at the hospital at 1:30. It was different going to the hospital pain free. We got checked in and waited and waited. The doctor was stuck in a surgery and had to push my c-section back an hour. The time finally arrived, I got my epidural and was wheeled into the operating room. Bret's mom and dad, and my mom was there with us and they were waiting outside the operating room doors waiting to hear a baby cry. The surgery started and I was very sick from the medications, which thankfully the anesthesiologist took care of quickly. I could also feel more then I could with my last c-section. Last time I just felt pressure but this time I could feel pain. It wasn't tramatising pain but yet still uncomfortable/miserable. Bret sat by me and rubbed my head trying to keep me calm and distracted. They finally had Bret stand up to watch our baby be born. The head came out and Bret said, "it looks just like Emmett" and that made me think it was a boy and I was waiting for them to say, "it's a boy". After another few painful seconds of them pushing/manipulating on my stomach the baby came out and Bret said with a huge smile on his face, "it's a GIRL". I'll never be able to write/express my feelings of that moment but it was incredible. I heard her sweet little cry and anxiously waited for them to show me my baby. I looked to my right and they showed me her for a second, and I loved her immediately. She was so little and perfect. Bret left with the baby and they started sewing me up, which was the last I remember. I was in lot of pain and kept telling them that, and I guess they gave me something to put me somewhat under and the next thing I remember was them wheeling me out of the operating room. Bret said he brought the baby back in to show me and I was awake but I don't remember any of it. He said I was pretty out of it but I kissed her a few times and told her I loved her. The doctors said after she was born I wanted off the table and I wouldn't hold my arms still so they had to put me out. I'm sad I don't remember Bret bringing her back in but yet glad they helped me, I know I was pretty miserable. They brought her to me in the recovery room and I was able to hold her for the first time. She is so perfect and I just love her. Bret picked out a bow for her, which I think it cute they let him choose.
