Saturday Dinner

The Ericksons and Hunsakers came down for dinner tonight. I made some killer chicken tacos and Bret E. made his famous chocolate chip cookies. I had offically lost all my baby weight a few days ago but then I ate like 5 cookies tonight, so who knows where I'm at now. I lost all my weight but my pants are still tight...beats me. Anyways we had a fun time and I love having visitors.

Adah's Ears Pierced

My mom and I took Adah to get her ears pierced a few days ago. I love baby girls with pierced ears! My mom did the same to me and my sisters when we were about 6 months old. She was a good baby and didn't cry for very long. How sad is this picture:

Doesn't get cuter then this:

I love this baby!

Pre-School Picture

Emmett started preschool. It's more like a play group for 2 years olds. It's one day a week for 3 hours. He loves it and I think Teacher Lynda is great. The school is basically on a farm with all kinds of animals. (couldn't be more perfect for Emmett) I'm lucky to have Emmett in this school. Lynda normally has a long waiting list and sometimes you don't get in. Doesn't he look happy on his first day:

Adah 4 Months

Adah is 4 months old now. I took her to her the doctors and here are her measurements:

24.5 inches 49%

13 lbs 8 oz 37%

Head: 15.5 6%

She bears weight on her legs now and enjoys it! She rolls from her back to her tummy. She's starting to like holding toys, which makes me happy! She smiles and laughs at mom & dad, but it's too fond of anybody else. My mom is determined to make Adah like her. She calls Adah her "buddy" and will call and ask me how her buddy is doing. Emmett still loves her to pieces. He is constantly in her face and wants to hold and kiss her. She ISN'T sleeping through the night but I have high hopes that will change soon. She sleeps from 9pm until 2 or 3AM and then eats and goes back to bed until 6am, and then goes back to bed for another hour or so. The good thing is I'm only up for about 15 minutes. She's a fast eater! She still takes 3 naps a day, one of which is a good 2-3 hours. She isn't afraid to tell you if she needs something, her cry is loud and demanding.

Emmett is trying to tickle Adah the way he sees his dad do it.

Nana

My Grandma (Nana) had a stroke last Thursday. She's doing great now but it was pretty scary. She's 91 years old and in really good health. She's a very busy woman. She goes to senior citizens, PW (presbyterian woman), church, goes to REAMS grocery store daily, drives herself to get her hair/nails done, attends all family gatherings, works in the yard, the list goes on... My mom was telling us the story of when it happened, and they were in walmart and she saw my grandma start to fall. She caught her and immediately know what had happened. My mom yelled for somebody to call 911 and they sat her in a chair. My Grandma said she didn't feel anything coming on and she remembers it all. She said she remembers trying to tell my mom something but her words came out slurred. I asked my Grandma if she remembered what she was trying to tell my mom and my Grandma said, "Ohhhh I don't rememeber. I was probably trying to tell her not to call 911." So typical...Nana won't make a peep if anything is wrong with her and doesn't like the attention. I just loved her response! Luckily though they got her to hospital very quickly, which helped cause less damage to her brain. I'm very thankful my mom was with her when it happened. I sure love Nana and would like to keep her around as long as possible!
