Watch Your Language

Emmett has picked up on some bad language lately and when I find out who he heard it from...well, that person is in trouble....(BRET). (I can't completely blame Bret;)The other day he said, " Dammit Adah" and tried to take his toys away from her. Then he told Natalie, " Natalie, don't say Shit. That's a naughty word". I about died. It was funny but breaks my heart to hear him say those words. We are on a strict vocabulary watch at our home.

Ear Tubes

Adah got ear tubes put in on Tuesday. We had to be to the hosptial at 6:30am and the surgery was pretty quick. I had to wait a little while for her to wake up before we could come home. She was just out of it. I loved holding her while she slept...she rarely let me hold her. I love this picture of her in her hosptial gown. I think she look so cute and cozy it in. I'm hoping these tubes help her, she's had three ear infections in the past three months. It's been hard on all of us. Dr. Parson's did the surgery and he was really nice.

Easter Weekend

We went to Minersville/Out West for Easter weekend. We made a day trip out the lodge and had a lot of fun. We colored easter eggs, had an easter egg hunt, the guys built a fort for the kids, ate good food, and rolled easter eggs. This was a new tradition for me. The only people I know that do this is the Albrechts and apparently the White House. You take your hard boiled eggs and roll them down a hill until there is nothing left of them. The person whos egg lasts the longest wins. It was really fun and I enjoyed it as much as the kids.

Emmett didn't understand the concept of hurrying to find as many eggs as you could. When he found one he opened it and ate what was inside before moving to the next egg. I'm sure next year he'll understand "the race" part of an easter egg hunt.

We enjoyed our church meetings and I paid extra close attention to the gospel doctrine lesson as I start teaching it in my own ward this Sunday. Please pray for me! I'm so nervous I could almsot throw up just thinking about it. Luckily our ward is one lesson behind and I'm teaching the same lesson that I heard on Sunday. I'm hoping I'll only be nervous the first time or two and it becomes easier for me. I feel inadequate to teach in an older ward... I'm 28...not 68. 68 Should be the minimum age limit for this calling. It's time for me to get off the computer and continue studying my lesson.

Emmett is still working on his farm collection. He asks me if we can go to CalRanch almost everyday. He loves those plastic animals.

Adah, Addy, and Statton. Can you guess the age of these babies? Adah is 11 months, Addy is 3 months, and Statton is 5 months. It looks like I'm starving my baby next to these two chunks. Chubby babies are so cute (so are skinny babies).
