March

Before the bath, my kids like to run around naked. This time Emmett helped Adah wrap a blanket around her!

My mom turned 65 on March 15th. Emmett wanted to give her one of his animals and then he decided she could only borrow it. After she opened the zebra, he said, "Can I hold it?" We all laughed cause he was having such a hard time giving it away. My mom ended up borrowin it for a week and then she gave it back :)

We went to Color Me Mine for my mom's bday. This is the plate I painted. It's going to be our special plate that somebody in our family gets to use when they've done something special or extra ordinary.

My mom loved the canvas we gave her of our baby pictures. It turned out really cute.

Our newest addition to our family. Montana finally had her baby on March 24 2013. We went down before church and Bret looked under the horse and said it's a girl. He was kind of bummed, and we left to church. After we stopped back by and he said, " I wish it was magically a boy". Well we got out and looked again and guess what???? It's a colt! He was so happy. We seem to only have mares and Bret really wanted a boy horse.

September 2012

Check out my little cowboy. He's so awesome. I love everything about Emmett. He's become so independent lately. It's been nice, but I love to baby him. Mostly because he lets me baby him. Adah at times wants nothing to do with me, and she's pretty sure she can survive on this planet without my help. Emmett loves to hug and kiss me and I just eat it up. My kids are awesome!

Coed Softball. Nate brought us candy necklaces on his treat day but didn't tell us we had to string our own necklaces. We were the league champs this year and we took 2nd in tournament. I tried to upload our team picture but my phone is being gay. (no offense to any gays) ;) We had the greatest team this year and we made some awesome friends. I'm so sad it's over!

Oh my goodness. They're cute!

She is so in love with her dad. They're dancing again to her favorite song. "Springsteen" by eric church
I was going through old pictures tonight and found this one of Emmett. I miss all that red hair.  He's almost a year in this picture.
Adah 2 months old. She loved her dad then too.

Payson Coed Softball.

I love playing softball and glad Bret and I can play together. Me and my sisters play on Wednesday night in Salem and then our spouses play with us on Thursday nights.  We love all the people we play with, and we have a really good team this year.

Emmett's first day of pre-school. He's going to Lynda Hall's school again. She got a new long horned cow and that's been pretty exciting for Emmett. It's the perfect school for him. He goes twice a week now and it's nice for everybody. Emmett likes getting out of the house.

Handsome guy! Emmett and Dad were saying prayers tongiht and Emmett usually says that he's thankful for all his animals, toys, etc... Tonight Bret was saying the first part of sentence and Emmett was saying the end...such as.. We are thankful for the Tem.....and Emmett would say Temple. Bret had helped him say about 5 church related thigns and then he thought about Angel Moroni. Emmett knows who he is but Bret said, " we're thankful for captain ____" and Emmett said, "HOOK" and acted stoked and sure he got that one right. If Bret would have said Angel rather then Captain, Emmett would have got it right.

Cousin fun

She picks up this stool and moves it around herself. Yikes!

Adah 16 Months

Our baby girl is 16 months old now. She is the so so busy but also very happy. She has finally let me hold her for more then 10 seconds and has actually started laying her head on my shoulder. It makes me so happy. She is very smart and has started talking a lot more lately. Here are the words she can say: mama, dada, ball, dog, roof, cow, moo, bunny, nose, one, two, three, NO, uh-oh, blankie, binky, baba. She can also sign: more, all done, drink, please, and book. She loves to be outside, loves dogs(she gets all giggly when she sees one...it's adorable) She thinks I am her property and gets jealous/mad if I hold Emmett. She loves to sit on my lap. Her and Emmett are starting to play a little better together, but he still takes toys from her and tortures her at times.  He won't let anybody else take toys from her though! Funny how that works.
Somebody had some mad bed head after their nap.

Getting ready to go swimming

This is the cutest thing I've ever seen. Emmett liked to hold Adah, and she wraps her legs around him and smiles the whole time. I have to help him because they both get laughing and Emmett usually tips over. He also gives her piggy back rides (which he calls an antelope ride???) and she does the same thing, wraps her legs around him and holds on for dear life.

She is so cute when she sleeps. She's a fantastic sleeper lately. We put her to bed at 8:30pm and she sleeps until 7:00am. I give her a bottle, change her and she goes back to bed until 9-9:30am. She's done this all summer and I love it. We have to be quiet in the mornings because she is a light sleeper if she hears sounds. She naps from 12:30-2:30 everyday.

Adah kept stealing Grandpa Calvin's hat and thought she was so funny. I love pictures like this. Grandpa Calvin is a terrific grandpa! I wish my Dad was around for me to have pictures with him and my kids.

Adah and her dad have a really special bond. He has always had a way to calm her down as a baby and he's been so sweet and patient with her. Earlier this summer Bret would turn on our iPod and those two would dance in the kitchen together to "Springsteen" by Eric Church. I washed our iPod again(opps) and so we didn't have one for about 3-4 weeks. I bought a new one and Bret turned on their song the other night, and she immediately put her arms around his neck. It was very cute and special for him. She was so happy and wouldn't let go of him as you can see in the pictures.

Camping & Cattle Drive

We went camping at Fish Lake this year. It was fun but I'm looking forward to camping days when my kids are older. Emmett had a good time and was a great kid. Adah was a dirt ball at the end of the day. She was into everything and constantly falling due to uneven ground. I feel like I spent two days chasing her in the woods, but none the less we had a good time. Emmett is a natural at riding horses. He wants to ride by himself and is very comfortable around animals. He loved playing with his cousins, which makes it worth the whole trip. I was able to go on a 9 mile run while there and they had showers which made camping nice for me.

Emmett was pretending to be an antalope with his stick antlers and he wanted to give Adah an antalope ride. She loved it and would wrap her legs around him and giggle the whole time. I love seeing my kids play and laugh together.

Our Little Cowgirl!

I'm not sure if I've ever posted a picture of the Albrecht's lodge out at their ranch. It's beautiful inside and has a fantastic view!

July Random Photos

Helping Dad mow the lawn. Update on snakes...we have caught 13 snakes as of Aug 26 2012. They're just garter snakes, but they have scared me out of mowing the lawn and working in the garden. It's been hard on me.
Going to church! Thanks to family/friends and my own shopping issues....I have so many dresses for Adah that I have a hard time deciding which one to put her in for church.

My successful garden. This is my first garden and it's done really well. I'm really proud of it. I planted peas(which are already harvested), onions, tomatos, cherry tomatos, green/yellow/red/orange bell peppers, cantalope, cucumbers, and crookneck squash. Next year I won't plant as much becuase my garden is huge now and I'm having a hard time eating/sharing all the food. It's been a really fun experience.(minus the snakes)

Baby Emmett

I've been looking through old pictures tonight and came across these pictures of when Emmett was a new baby. I love this picture of Bret looking at his baby. He loves his babies and can't get enough of them. I am so lucky to have a husband that loves his babies as much as I love them.  It makes me want to hold a new baby, that awesome new baby smell, clean jammies, sleeping in your arms, watching a show....ahhh those were the days. I love that we have diapers and a changing station on the couch. I really loved those times of my life...just as much as I love them now. I sometimes think about how nice it will be when my kids get older and more independant, but I also love that I have more years of babies. Nothing is like that first baby....it's was so peaceful. Emmett has always been such a cuddly baby. He still lets me hug and hold him whenever I want. I love him!
I took the bottom picture just the other night and loved it because that is the exact face I remember him having as a baby. Maybe it's those lips...or the cheeks...I don't know but he's perfect!

Month of June

I took 3 pictures this month. How pathetic! I refuse to be the mother that takes less and less pictures as her children get older. I've got an overload of pictures for July. We went to the Manti pagent with Bret's family for their reunion and Adah decided she wanted to ONLY walk during the show, so I spent 2 hours walking her around the grass in the dark. She's on the go now and I love it. We miss the cute scoot but she's so much cleaner and happier now that she's walking. Emmett is just at a fun age. He says the cutest things and wants to be just like his dad. He sometimes struggles with listening and understanding there are consequences to his actions, but we'll get there. We spend a lot of our evenings and weekend at Grandma's pool. Emmett wears a life jacket and just swims around the pool...I was surprised he was so comfortable in the water. He's practiced going under water a few times with his nose plugged and he does pretty good.
I"m still training for the St. George marathon and I'm really starting to pick up my mileage. We ran 14 miles last Saturday and I felt pretty good. I've been running sprints once a week and I think it's helping my speed. Emily started running again and I love running with her.

Bret and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary together on the 23rd of June. We went to dinner at Ruby River and then to Color Me Mine to paint pottery. We had fun but Bret said to please not tell anybody he was there. We both painted ice-cream dishes and they turned out pretty good. That place is a lot of fun. Here is a picture from our wedding day.  We look so young!

Family Summer Camp

It was time for the annual Albrecht Reunion in the Beaver Mountains. We had a great time, and it was the first year since I've been that it didn't rain. Wahoooooo!!! Adah and I slept in the camp trailer and Bret and Emmett slept in the tent. Adah slept through the night just like she does at home. She did cry an awful lot in the car on the way there and back. A crying baby in the car is so frustrating for me. I hate feeling helpless with helping the baby. We made several stops and the drive took forever. Emmett had the time of his life. He loved playing with his cousins and especially loved singing and dancing while Grandpa Calvin played his accordion. He was the hit while singing "Home On The Range". I'll post the video soon. It's hilarious.

We also went to Bret's 10 year high school reunion. We were really late because Adah and a crying attack but I'm glad we made it. We both wished we would have been there sooner. He has great friends!
