5. I ran 6.5 miles this morning. The furthest I've run since I had the baby. I felt great and could have run much further
6. I received Emmett's baby book in the mail today. I've spent countless hours working on it through Heritage Makers (digital scrapbooking). I'm in LOVE with it. I'll post about that another day.
7. I'm still doing my wellness challenge. 6 weeks done, 6 more to go
8. I love the show "I shouldn't be alive" from Animal Planet and before we went hiking I kept telling Bret this could the be the start of our near death experience. I kind of freaked myself out and then Bret said, "are you trying to be on TV or should we just enjoy the outdoors?" He was right.
9. I love my kids more then anything! They're just the neato!
10. Bret is kind of special too ;)

Adah 4 Months

Adah is 4 months old today. I take her to the doctor on Monday and then I'll post her stats. She is rolling onto her sides and sometimes makes it to her tummy from her back. She started laughing this week. She smiles all the time but we can finally make her giggle. It's about the cutest thing ever. I love hearing a baby laugh, and especially when its my own. She sleeps from 9pm until approx. 4:00am, eats and goes back to bed for a few more hours. She takes about 3 naps a day, one of which is a good 3 hours. She loves her swing! She uses her bumbo but still struggles holding her head up for a long period of time. She loves to be held faced out, so she can see whats going on. She is starting to pay attention to Emmett and he can make her smile. Emmett loves to kiss her head and is very protective of her. If other kids come up to touch her, he will push them away. She is doing better with taking a bottle but prefers to nurse. I'm making her have one a day, so I can hopefully get a little more freedom. We moved her out of our room and I feel like I'm up all night checking on her. I'm hoping she'll start sleeping even longer in her own room. It helped when Emmett was a baby. We love our Adah so much and we're so glad she's in our family.

Stroller Rides

My friend loaned me her double stroller and I LOVE IT. I'm unsure why I didn't buy one as soon as I found out I was pregnant with Adah. I love going for walks with the kiddos. Emmett thinks its so neat that him and Adah can both ride in it together. Except he refuses to let me buckle him in and tonight he jumped out 3 times and I ran him over each time. I felt awful but come on....you'd think he'd learn. I learned...I learned he's getting buckled in tomorrow!

I'm still doing my wellness challenge. I didn't do so hot last week but I'm re-committed this week. I'm going for a full 70 score. I've been getting anywhere from 64-67 points each week. I do great with my exercising, drinking water, reading scriptures, writing in journal/blog, etc... I really struggle with not eating after 8pm and the sugar. Man I am totally addicted to sugar. I have to chew gum after my meals to help with the cravings. How pathetic is that?

Sunday

Emily came to visit tonight. We made the best meatloaf dinner, squash from Jude's garden, mashed potatoes, and green salad. It tasted so good. We bathed the kids and tried to stop Emmett and Max from fighting all night. Emmett pushes Max but Max is finally starting to fight back. I know they'll be best friends one day. After Emily left, Emmett and I were playing with Adah and Emmett said, "that's our baby. Not Emily's baby". He's becoming very protective over his sister. Also Adah took a 4 hour nap tonight and Emmett slept 2 1/2 hours, which means I also took a nap. It was awesome!

Another Quilt

I've been sewing like a mad man lately. I actually did this one right after I had Adah and then I had it quilted by the Corn Wagon. They do a great job. I know my sewing machine can machine quilt but I need to get a walking foot and then practice, practice, practice. I think I'm going to let Adah use this one and I'll save the other one for a keepsake.

We went to the Payson Pool late this afternoon and it was awesome, hardly anybody was there. Normally that place is packed. It was prefect weather and it was nice hanging out as a family!

Stitches

I pulled a stitch from my incision tonight. It was gross but I was so happy to get some of it out. I thought they said the stitches would dissolve. I had a baby 4 months ago....4. I hope this means I'm that much closer to a full recovery.

Emmett loves Mom & Dad

Bret had a cattle drive early this week and so he's been gone more then usual. We miss him when he's busy. This afternoon Bret came up and hugged me and Emmett wanted to join in, so we lifted him up and Emmett said, "Love you guys!" Bret and I didn't say anything right away because we were both speechless, so Emmett said it again! Then I cried! I love that kid. He melts my heart.

P.S. I wish I was running the Moon Light Half Marathon tonight. Larry and I ran it last year and then I came home and took a pregnancy test at 2:00AM and found out I was pregnant. One year later...I have this beautiful creature.

Separation Anxiety

A lady in my ward told me I must do some amazing bonding with my children because it's not normal for my 3 month old baby to be that attached to her mom. Adah just started not letting other people hold her, which makes my life very hard. (She'll let Bret hold her but that's where it ends.) I remember Emmett doing the same thing! We went to Zions with Bret's family when Emmett was 3 months old and he wouldn't let ANYBODY hold him but us. How pathetic! Ohhh and my softball games...Emmett cried for almost 2 hours straight while my mom held him. I hated that season. Adah's much better at the softball games then Emmett was. Speaking of softball, I absolutely love that sport. I love playing with my family, I love getting out of the house, I love exercising, I love when we win, etc...

P.S. I'm having to drop out of the St. George Marathon this year. I just couldn't bounce back fast enough from this c-section. I'm still having problems healing up, but I go back to the doctor tomorrow and I'll see what he says. Jill keeps telling me they left a tool in me, not likely :)

Nice To Meet You

I took the kids to go watch Brinley and Austin (neice and nephew) play soccer tonight and Emmett started waving at this lady. She walked up to me and said, " I must look familiar to him." I told her he sometimes waves to people he doesn't know and then Emmett held out his hand to grab hers and said, "nice to meet you". She shook his hand and said, " Well, it's nice to meet you too," She thought he was the cutest things on this planet, which he is ;)

Matilda Jane

I went to a Matilda Jane Trunk Show today and bought Adah this dress for when she's a year old. I absolutely love it! I should learn how to sew this kind of stuff...I think I will!

I also bought her a few bows and me a necklace from Krumpets Design. They have the best jewelry! It's realy nice stuff for a good price. You can find them on facebook.
