Quilt & Babies

My baby was sick today. He slept in until 11:00, which I thought was odd but he has been going to bed late. When he finally woke up he wanted me to hold him for a while and then as I was getting him into the tub he threw up. Poor kid. We spent the day/night watching movies in pajamas. I hate when he's sick but it is the only time that he lets me hold him. I was able to rock him to sleep tonight and that made me really happy.

This is a blanket I made for Adah. Nothing special but fun to do. I'm a happier person when I have some kind of a sewing project to work on.

My niece Hailey was baptised tonight. She looked so cute in her white dress and she seemed really happy about her special day. Unfortunately I didn't get to see her baptised because Adah cried and I had to walk her in the halls of the church. I did catch the end of my mom's talk on the Holy Ghost and that was nice. Wish I had a pic of Hailey..I need to take my camera more often.

New dress! I love having a girl and the clothes that come with!~

Lori gave me one of the center pieces from the dinner tonight. I love gerber daisies. They remind me of Joey. They're his favorite flower and therefore they're my favorite flower too. Thanks Lori for driving down to my house to give them to me.

Adah & Challenge Update

I scored 67/70 points for my first week of my challenge. I'm also down 3lbs now. Only 5 more to go and then I'm at pre-pregnancy weight. It's not all about weight loss though...it's about being healthy. I'm actually trying to eat more but just of the healthy stuff. I lost 1pt from eating dutch oven cobbler...totally worth the point. And then I lost 2 pts for swearing. My personal goal was to not swear...lets just say that isn't my goal this week. It's helped though because I still haven't sworn this week :)

Look at her...just look at her. I'M IN LOVE!

Family Summer Camp

It was time for the annual Albrecht Reunion in the Beaver Mountains. We had a great time, and it was the first year since I've been that it didn't rain. Wahoooooo!!! Adah and I slept in the camp trailer and Bret and Emmett slept in the tent. Adah slept through the night just like she does at home. She did cry an awful lot in the car on the way there and back. A crying baby in the car is so frustrating for me. I hate feeling helpless with helping the baby. We made several stops and the drive took forever. Emmett had the time of his life. He loved playing with his cousins and especially loved singing and dancing while Grandpa Calvin played his accordion. He was the hit while singing "Home On The Range". I'll post the video soon. It's hilarious.

Family Picture

First Day of Camp...explains why my hair still looks great. I cut bangs again!

Baby Deer

Emmett's new best friend, Ashlyn. Isn't she a doll?

We also went to Bret's 10 year high school reunion. We were really late because Adah and a crying attack but I'm glad we made it. We both wished we would have been there sooner. He has great friends!

Aaron Marshall, Luke Toby, Bret Albrecht, Justin Smith, Travis Gillins, and Dale Bowden.

Some of the family came to visit last night and my mom forced the kids together for a picture. We were glad she did cause it turned out really cute.

I just love Max in this picture. He's great at smiling for the camera.

I also felt an earthquake last night. It was kind of scary. I checked online this morning to see if it was really an earthquake and it was 3.4 mag. Not bad for little Mona!

Nightmares

Emmett had his first nightmare last night. He ended up coming into my bed before it happened. He heard me up with the baby and wanted to lay down by me, which I let him do and he quickly fell asleep. About 30 minutes later he started screaming, it really scared me too. He said he was dreaming about spiders and snakes. I felt bad for him, I hope it doesn't happen too often. This happened about 3:00am and he didn't go back to sleep until 5:00am. Not because he was scared but because Bret and I tried to change the subject from the bad dream to happy things, and he got this burst of energy. It was a long night.

I had a CT Scan today for this lump I have on my stomach. It's been bothering me for about a month now, so I'm finally getting it checked out. Anyways I had to drink this awful "contrast" which I fought from throwing up, and then when I arrive they tell me I can't nurse my baby for 24 hours after getting iodine through an IV. I agree..knowing I have enough milk in my freezer but also fearing Adah wouldn't take a bottle. After a long day my baby has had 8.5oz of milk in the last 12 hours. Makes me feel like a bad mom, even though I'm not ;) Can't wait until morning so I can feed my baby. Wish me luck tonight.

Oh did I forget to mention that the only day I desperately need my breast pump is the same day it breaks! Piece of junk!

Challenge

Jill and I have started this challenge: www.youcanbethebestyou.blogspot.com It's a 12 week challenge to better your health and wellness. I think it should be a lot of fun and I'm glad Jill is doing it with me, at least we'll have each other. There are 10 tasks you have to complete each day and you get a point for each one. I'd rather not explain all the rules/details as you can read about them in the link above. My hardest challenge will be No Sugar and my easiest will be drinking 48 oz of water a day. I figured this would be a great way for me to lose the last 8 lbs of pregnancy but also better my lifestyle. I've decided to not run the St. George Marathon this year. I'll save my registration until next year when I plan to train for my PR (personal record). I'm just too far behind in my training and recovery from the c-section was dealthy slow. I'm still having a few problems from it. One of my daily tasks is to write in my journal or blog each day, so I will be blogging more often then normal. I can't promise daily posts as sometimes I blog on my personal/journal blog, which only Bret has access to :) but I will definately be posting more often.

TWINS

I'm pregnant with twins....ok thats not true. I'm taking a break from birthing any more children any time soon.

I think I have a good idea what the rest of my children will look like....these two are looking awfully similar. TWINS

Emmett 1 month

Adah 1 month

Adah had her 2 month checkup a few weeks ago and here are the stats:
22.25 inches 45%
10lbs 14oz 51%

She's been sleeping through the night very consistantly for me. She goes to bed at 10:30 and will sleep until 5:00AM, eats, and goes back to bed for a few more hours. She doesn't have a set nap schedule yet as she cat naps a lot, but she does always take a long nap in the later morning to afternoon hours (2-4 hours long), and then a pretty good nap in the evening hours. I use to rock or nurse Emmett to sleep and I could lay him down without him waking up. As soon as I move to lay her down she's wide awake, but luckily falls asleep on her own in her crib. It's awesome. I need to move her out of our room because when Bret comes home he's noisy and sometimes wakes her up. I'm undecided if I should move her in with Emmett or move my office into the living room and give that room to her. I'd rather them share if they dont' wake each other up. What should I do?

June 2011

It's been a fun month. Summer is finally here and we can enjoy being outside. Bret's mom came and stayed with us for a few days, and I really appreciated her help. I'm finally gaining confidence that I can manage two. We've been to the pool a few times, and I've been able to play on my women's softball team. I've missed over half the season, which is heartbreaking. I love to play. I've also started running and really running. I signed up for St. George but I'm really behind on training. I'm going to give it my best through July and then evaluate where I am and decide if I'll do it or save it for next year. There isn't anything like running a marathon when you're not prepared.

Emmett sure loves his sister!

Adah's cute smile! Adah smiles all the time now and it's so fun. She gets so excited to see me or Bret. She doesn't get too excited to see Emmett, and thats probably because he's an inch from her face and usually putting some of his body weight on her. The kid doesn't understand what "be soft" means.

Dad and Adah

Emmett still needs to grow before he can fit that kids saddle.

Can't turn your back for a second.
